Through the Nivasa Foundation’s Sponsor a Child Program, you can donate on a monthly basis or with a one-time donation to support the child of a victim of human trafficking. You can also donate to support our work through a general donation to the Nivasa Foundation.
General Donations: General donations go toward maintaining our Sponsor a Child Program, supporting the research and logistics required for sustaining it, as well as other operational needs, such as supporting our website and administrative costs. The Nivasa Foundation is operated by volunteers who donate their time and other resources to support its anti-slavery work. Unlike many non-profit organizations, every penny donated to the Nivasa Foundation goes to support our programming and into the hands of those who need it most.

Sponsoring a Child: The Nivasa Foundation supports children whose mothers were victims of human trafficking. Because of limited work opportunities and training coupled with impoverished living conditions in Sri Lanka, parents are often desperate to provide for their children -- so desperate they risk finding employment overseas and becoming enslaved and abused.
When you sponsor a child through the Nivasa Foundation for little more than $1.00 per day, women in Sri Lanka are able to stay home with their families and receive rehabilitation services and the skills training that they need. Won’t you join with us to break the cycle of modern-day slavery? Your support will dramatically change the lives of a family in need. Funds provide school uniforms, transportation, books and supplies, nutrition, medicine, and shoes so that children can prosper and grow with
health and hope for a better future.
